Finally, I believe I can now say the hull is ready. For the most part anyway as I noticed a couple of small spots that will need to be roughened up before its ready for the new wood, but that is minor. One of the small items I need to attend to is the little piece in the middle of the boat where presumably a bilge pump was attached. Most of the dust is in the trailer and will be disposed of.
![]() Aft view. All that remains is the round mounting point of the pump (I think that's what is was). There is also a pipe running from the center of the boat to one of the drainage holes. That will still have to come out.
![]() From the bow the pipe leading to the drainage hole is easier to see. It looks like it was glassed in so it will take a bit of grinding but it shouldn't be too difficult. I looked at the dates for the previous two cleaning the hull posts and noticed an alarming trend. It seems that every post is just under a month after the previous one. 17 July, 12 August and now 9 September. Life has been keeping me very busy.
That's it for this update though as I'm tired and slightly sunburnt. The summer sun is back...
